The See See - Fountayne Mountain (The Great Pop Supplement, 2012)
Hailing from London of all places and not America ... The See See have refined and distilled a romanic carefully concocted potion of Love, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, added bit of Brit-pop energy, ah-la Teenage Fan Club, and a dash of Spiritualized, that simmers together with delightful foot tapping harmonies [bringing to mind The Beach Boys] wrapped in lush swirling guitars that call for open windows and comfortable lounge chairs.
The See See, harken back to the days of the mid 60‘s and the Mods, where the music was as well tailored as the clothes; and it’s a shame that there’s not a cultural movement to support See See and others such as The Allah Las ... where bands prove once again that they don’t have to hit you over the head with volume to propel you into a state of walking in sunshine neo-psychedelic bliss.
