FRESH PEA SALAD

Summer Pea Salad, jazzed up with crisp bacon and sweet cherry tomatoes is one of my favorites. Stack interview

Stack were a band from Los Angeles, that formed out of various of quite successful bands. They done it all. They had a big opportunity to sign up with major label, they were one of the very first bands to appear in Pepsi commercial and what's most thrilling is that they played with many worldwide known musicians including Jimi Hendrix, The New Yardbirds (later Led Zeppelin) and A TON of others. Here's a complete story interview about one of the most incredible heavy psych bands, that sadly only released one LP - Above All in 1969. It's one of those special collectors items today, but not only due to the rarity, but also because of the quality....

Ant Trip Ceremony - 24 Hours (1968) review

Ant Trip Ceremony "24 Hours" (Collectables Records, 1968/1999)A super rare specimen, only three hundred copies of Ant Trip Ceremony's "24 Hours" were cut upon its initial release in early 1968. But the album has been revived on a few occasions throughout the years, so psychedelic fanatics like us don't have to spend entire paychecks to encounter its charms. The best of these reissues is this package, which aside from the cool music of course, is wholly legitimate and contains in-depth liner notes and previously unpublished photos. The first version of Ant Trip Ceremony was formed when guitarist Steve Detray, who attended Oberlin College in Oberlin,...

Pinnacle interview with David Mylett

Pinnacle was a group from Liverpool, that was highly influenced by psychedelic/space rock groups like Pink Floyd and Hawkwind, but at the same time they really liked the more straight forward bands like Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. The result was their only LP Assasin, which came out in 1974. Their sound is quite unique and a fusion of aforementioned groups. It's spacious, it's heavy and it's really fast, that might show early touches of new genre emerging soon - "New Wave of British Heavy Metal". Here's the complete story about their time with one of their members, David Mylett. When and where were you born? I was born in Liverpool 61 years...
